THIS is it. The judgement and taste is key. I am concerned about how AI will ruin that element for my kids, who will be growing up in a world where AI is the norm. I'm trying to teach them to think critically, use judgement, think into the future, connect the dots between disciplines. I know this is targeted for an older audience, but there are a lot of takeaways that apply to how I am thinking deeply about raising kids in the age of AI.

I built a two-version anti-AI style guide and still got swallowed by the house. That's how good the gingerbread smells. The adjectives are a con. Your rejection list is the only part with teeth.
The robots would assign homework every single day if I let them lol, I'm trying to keep them from eating it 😂 and yes, that last part... same. feel it every time I sit down to write! :)
Stay Gretel! I loved this piece, Mia. Both what it taught, and the fact it inspired me to bake gingerbread lol :). The Hansel and Gretel framing was brilliant. AI output as the gingerbread house makes so much sense - something tempting that appears exactly when you’re tired and looking for an easier way through. The idea of taste being what you reject, not just what you like, really stood out to me, too. I’ve been thinking about this a lot in my own writing - the sentences I cut, the phrases I refuse, the parts I leave a little rough because smoothing everything out can sometimes be the thing that makes it less mine. The trouble is, gingerbread is delicious, and you know it, and you said so anyway. It would be much easier to stay with Gretel if the witch had worse snacks, hahaha
It's really hard to lock-in on taste when it comes to building with AI for me. What I like today changes tomorrow. That is the distraction I get from my builds, articles, and posts. The ones with good taste is always ones that makes me feel something--the longer the feel, the better the taste.
You're simply brilliant. I really appreciate that you focus so much on judgment and attitude, you're 100% right that these are the only things that can't be averaged.
You know I love how you work historical stories and works of literature into your articles to illustrate less interesting concepts. It's brilliant and few here do it as well as you do.
But I LOVE that you extend this to your images. You work the literary analogy into the images AND combine it with your own robot-theme.
